Dr. Raanan Meyer is director of the Gynecological Emergency Department at the Sheba Medical Center – Israel’s largest hospital and repeatedly ranked as one of the ten best hospitals worldwide. Additionally, he is a member of the Talpiot Medical Leadership Program, which supports outstanding medical talents in their professional careers, and serves as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University.

Raanan has extensive research experience. To date, ninety of his original peer-reviewed papers have been published. As part of his research, he leads machine learning projects to predict adverse outcomes in obstetrics and gynecology, which are intended for future use in the context of profound prognostic insights in the field of gynecological surgery.

Besides his dedication to his patients and his academic accomplishments, he is passionate about advancing medical education in his field. Among other initiatives, he developed a surgical education program for residents at the Sheba Medical Center, thereby significantly increasing the percentage of gynecological surgeries they perform and thus optimising their overall training.
